Painted by: Pine Creek Ceramics
Type of paint used: Acrylic Craft Paint and
Iridescent Glitter Paint
The dark areas and base of this snow scene
were painted with a black base coat before dry
brushing the other colors over it. The rocks,
bricks, horse, and carriage were dry brushed
with combinations of gray, tan, brown, and
white. The foliage was painted green with a red
bow on the wreath. After drying, white was then
dry brushed on some areas for the ice and
snow effect. The snow was painted with white.
(Even though the ceramic bisque is already
white, the white areas on the finished project
need to be painted for a consistent finish.) After
all the painting was complete and dry,
clear/iridescent glitter paint was added to the
snow and ice for the sparkle effect. The light kit
was added after completion for the warm glow
inside the windows.
