Painted by: Pine Creek Ceramics
Type of paint used: Acrylic Craft Paint with
Porcelain Mist Sealer
The base coat was painted with a light
acrylic wash, the edges and butterfly were
painted with darker shades. The washes
were made by thinning craft acrylic paint
with water. After the base coat was dry,
one coat of porcelain mist was applied to
the surface and allowed to dry. A ceramic
decal was then added. After the decal and
surface were dry, three more coat of
porcelain mist were applied (with dry time
between coats) as a sealer and to help
blend in the decal edges.
