SHIPPING INFORMATION
PLEASE NOTE: Our ceramic bisque items are cast fresh when your order is received.
With the large number of designs we have, we only keep a small inventory of finished
ceramic bisque samples in our gift shop. If the items you order are all in stock, we
may pull them from our gift shop inventory and they will be shipped when your order
is processed. For out of stock items, we have the molds for all the items listed on our
website and will cast them for you, please allow up to two weeks for us to complete
your order. We know that you are anxious to receive your order and we will work hard
to complete it as soon as possible. Depending on the number of orders we're working
on, drying, cleaning, firing time, size, etc. we average getting orders in the mail in
around 7 to 9 days. If ordering more than one of an item, it may take an extra day or
two additional casting time per piece to finish your order. We strive to manufacture
high quality ready to paint ceramic bisque. Every item is individually hand crafted.
We are not able to produce any items in large quantities and reserve the right to limit
quantities.
Here is a brief description of how ceramic bisque is made:
The process begins by pouring a liquid clay based mixture (slip) into a plaster mold.
Slip is added until the desired thickness is achieved and the remainder of the slip is
poured out. The casting is left in the mold, usually overnight, depending on the size,
humidity, weather, etc., until it is firm enough to be able to stand on its own. When it is
removed from the mold, it is then put on a ventilated shelf to air dry. After drying,
touch-up work is done and the seams left from the molds are carefully removed from
the piece with small hand tools and sanding pads. The next step is firing the casting
in a ceramic kiln for around 5 hours until the temperature gets to Pyrometric Cone 04,
approximately 2,000 degrees. When the proper temperature is reached, the kiln is left
undisturbed to cool. The cool down time last until the next day and is part of the firing
process. After they have cooled, they are removed from the kiln and are complete.
The ceramic bisque is now in the ready to paint stage.

"bubble wrap," styrofoam sheets and pieces, styrofoam "packing peanuts," and air
pillows for cushioning. Also, we cast our ceramic bisque items extra heavy to help
them endure their journey through the mail.

to around 10 pounds of items per package. Packing materials, boxes, and insurance
are included in the rates. The rates are lower per pound with larger orders.

The "Ship Weight" listed with the item descriptions in our catalog pages may vary
slightly since every item is individually hand cast. Our rates are for standard US
Postal Service Parcel Post to the 50 US States. If you need your order by a certain
day, let us know and we will do all that we can to get them ready to ship on time. Once
your order is completed and packed, we may be able to ship them by Express or
